Mentees can expect the program to offer steady support, shared understanding, and a stronger sense of connection. Through consistent communication with a ViaMar alumni mentor, mentees can feel less alone, build confidence, and stay connected to the people and resources supporting their recovery
What Mentorship Offers:
Give back by using your lived experience to offer hope, encouragement, and perspective to newer alumni.
Build a stronger sense of purpose, connection, and belonging within the ViaMar alumni community.
Strengthen your own recovery through continued involvement, accountability, communication, and healthy boundaries.
Receive ongoing support from the Mentor Chair and connect with other mentors during monthly meetings.
Help newer alumni feel understood, supported, and less alone after treatment.
Mentors are not supposed to have all of the answers. Your role is to show up consistently, share from experience when appropriate, and help mentees stay connected to recovery supports, alumni programming, and their outpatient supports.
