Every path looks different, with different challenges, timelines, and moments of growth. Along the way, you’ll see everyday moments, because recovery is about more than healing from your past; it’s about reconnecting finding joy, and loving life again!

ViaMar alumna Ursula talks honestly about her eating disorder recovery journey, from being completely consumed by the illness to slowly rebuilding a life filled with connection, gratitude, meaning, and joy. Alongside Trevor, this episode shares the hard parts, the hopeful parts, and the reminder that recovery is possible, even when it feels far away.

Director, Producer & Host

Julia is the Director of Alumni Services at ViaMar Health and the creator of Waves of Recovery. Drawing from her background as a former elementary teacher, Julia brings creativity, curiosity, and a natural ability to connect with others to both hosting the series and developing its concepts and content. Her goal is to help others see that recovery does not have to look perfect to be real, meaningful, and worth pursuing.

Director of Photography & Cinematographer

David is a grateful ViaMar alumnus excited to be a part of the team behind Waves of Recovery. David brings photography and videography experience from his favorite hobby of tabletop miniature games, where he produces live streams, videos, and podcasts aimed at educating new players and covering the latest news at Winter Moon Wargaming on SubStack.

Post-Production Editor

Lynne’s background includes work in journalism, public relations and marketing, as well as experience in video production for a media organization. Her work with Waves of Recovery is one way she wants to show her gratitude to ViaMar Health for treatment of her son, Chris, who remains in recovery today.
